I've missed the train.

The musician in me very much associates sounds with emotions and memories pedantically archived in my head. The first minute of The Cranberries’ ‘Linger’ always tosses me into disarray, having been looped on the Sydney airwaves almost daily despite being past its prime in June 2006. I simmer in a haphazard nostalgia of my best friends and some of my most favourite people in the world pursuing our passion and emerging top notch kick ass awesome. Now I sit at my desk on a Monday morning obsessing over academic theory while my marimba collects dust. I've missed the train.

If I wasn't in academia, I would have done this for the rest of my life. I miss it every day.
